WHY IS IT ESSENTIAL TO EXERCISE REGULARLY?

    348

In now a day, we are just busy elevating our bank balance. We work from 9 to 5 just for money with no care for health, following a repeated cycle. We expend our health on raising money and spending money to sustain health.

It is quite funny and ridiculous, but depicts the bitter reality of our society.

It is impossible without exercise if you have the slightest desire for a healthy lifestyle. Exercise is a sort of physical activity that will complement the maintenance of our health, increase our energy level and strengthens our muscles.

Exercise has countless benefits, which we will discuss in this article.

    DIFFERENT FORMS OF EXERCISE

You’re mistaken if you think going to the gym is the only form of exercise. Training means engaging yourself in physical activity. That activity will vary from person to person.

    • For some people that activity will be swimming. Dancing. Cycling, skateboarding etc.
    • Others love to walk in the garden as a sort of activity.
    • Jogging and running are also included in physical activity.

Exercise is not related to strenuous workouts and spending hours in gyms; it is time we dedicate to ourselves and our health.

Exercise will benefit everyone regardless of age, gender and ability.

    5 BENEFITS OF EXERCISE

    1. EXERCISE LIGHTENS THE MOOD

Do you know the significant effect of stress on us?

It ruins our mood. We feel devastated and low in the evening when we return from the hectic day. Many people have different ways to uplift their moods. One of them is exercise.

A long walk in the company of nature will not only lighten your mood or refresh you but also has significant health benefits. Physical activity induces the release of endorphins that promote positive energy in us.

So, after a stressful day, rather than lying in bed and letting negative vibes surround you, engage in light physical activity to feel good and energetic.

    1. EXERCISE HELPS TO GET RID OF OBESITY

Unhealthy eating habits are leading us to obesity. According to physicians, an obese person is more prone to diseases than a lean person.

You will feel lazy and breathless, and even small tasks are challenging for you to perform just because of your weight.

    How can you overcome it?

Exercise with a balanced diet helps you to burn your extra calories. Suppose you are aiming for weight loss. I will prefer grueling training.

Exercise not only burns your extra calories and fats but also reduces the concentration of bad cholesterol. Hyperlipidemia (increase in bad cholesterol in the body) is a significant issue in obese people.

    1. EXERCISE MAKES YOUR MUSCLE STRONGER

You are taking proteins, carbohydrates and vitamins in your diet. But still, you have weak muscles. It is all because of a lack of physical activity.

When we exercise, our muscles work more than an average person. More ATP is produced, muscles become more assertive, and their mass increases.

More than that, exercise influences the metabolic activity of muscles and reduces the onset of fatigue. That means you can produce strenuous tasks more quickly than a person who is not doing any exercise.

If you aim for abs, enlarge your biceps and triceps, then be ready for arduous workouts like cardio, pushups and aerobic training.

    1. EXERCISE PREVENTS YOU FROM CHRONIC DISEASES

Nowadays, even youngsters are falling into the hand of hypertension, diabetes and heart stroke because we spend time in front of our computers with no sense of the exercise.

For youth, the virtual world is more important than the real one, including me.

Let me explain how exercise prevents us from chronic diseases:

    • HYPERTENSION

Regular activities boost the strength of our heart muscles. It will automatically pump more blood with less force, ultimately reducing energy on arteries and lowering the blood pressure.

    • HEART ATTACK

Exercise increases our muscle performance by drawing oxygen from the blood. In this way stress of pumping more blood into muscles from the heart is reduced.

Exercise act as a beta blocker, slower heart rate and blood pressure. Removing extra burden from the heart prevents us from myocardial infarction (heart attack).

    • DIABETES MELLITUS

Physical activity increases the body’s sensitivity to insulin. It helps to control blood sugar levels by increasing glucose utilization by the body, which occurs only with the help of insulin.

    • ARTHRITIS

Joint stiffness occurs due to immobility. Engage yourself in some tasks, and you can avoid this problem.

    • DEMENTIA

Regular activity increases the effectiveness of the brain. Studies have shown that people who work out daily are at lower risk of developing mental disorders like Alzheimer’s and dementia at an older age.

    1. EXERCISE IMPROVES YOUR SLEEP CYCLE

Doctors recommend insomnia patients perform some exercise in the evening.

There are two reasons behind this:

    • Exercise raises your core body temperature. After a workout, when your core body temperature starts to fall approx. 30 to 90 minutes, it will signal to the brain that it’s time to sleep.
    • Second, after exercise, you feel tired, and your body ultimately demands rest, which is only possible through sound sleep.

Exercise also improves the quality of sleep along with quantity.

    CONCLUSION

Health is wealth. Start valuing your health unless it is too late. If you are healthy, be grateful because it is the longing of many people in hospitals.

From your busy schedule, allocate some time for your health. It is good to spare 30 or 60 minutes for physical activity rather than avoiding your work for weeks because of illness.
