Recently, a trend has been going on in Pakistan where many actors and actresses have come out in support of Sami Khan. What is the reason? Why did the clip of Sami Khan’s interview with comedian Sheikh Qasim suddenly go viral on social media?
Well, the whole controversy starts with Fahad Mustafa’s show “The Fourth Umpire.”. It is a comedy cricket analytics programme that includes critical analysis of different PSL teams by a profound cricket expert and interviews with different guests to add entertainment value to it. Sami Khan and Momal Sheikh were the featured guests on the Fahad Mustfa programme on February 26. During a normal chit chat with these commendable actors, Sheikh Qasim (a comedian) cracked some jokes on Sami Khan’s acting career in Lollywood.

Sami Khan remains calm during the whole scenario, but his fan following along with his co-stars does not feel satisfied after watching this video.
Actress Ayesha Umer defends Sami Khan by writing a note for him in which she mentions that the interview is quite disturbing and that Sami Khan is the most popular and fabulous actor in the Pakistani industry.
“This was so uncomfortable to watch, @sami_khan.Official is a fabulous actor and one of the most respectful, committed, professional, and joyful people to work with, so bravo to him for handling this with so much grace. Degrading your guests or anyone else is not funny at all. If he wasn’t successful, he wouldn’t be a guest on their show.”
Muneeb Khan demands an apology from the comedian Sheikh Qasim for his misconduct
“Sami bhai is an amazing artist and a phenomenal actor. No one has the right to insult him like this.” Strongly condemn this act of sheikh Qasim; he should apologise!”
Yashma Gill also mentioned in her Instagram story that her heart sank when she watched the clip. Only God knows what goes on in Sami Khan’s heart at that time. She also added that we actors pay more attention to our work than to ourselves and our loved ones. Comments like these indicate poor content creation for the show.
Bilal Qureshi said that Shami Khan is our super star. There is a huge difference between comedy and humiliating someone.
Along with that, Adnan Siddiqui praised Sami Khan for his calm nature during the show and called it commendable. He also advises the comedian Sheikh Qasim that these tactics do not survive for longer durations.
Many other actors, like Asad Siddiqui, Rabab Hashim, Ramsha Khan and Armeena Khan have also come forward to support Sami Khan.
Sami Khan responds to this debate with a Quranic ayat and asserts that Allah determines success and failure. No one can outpower Allah.
