Pakistani actress Ushna Shah, who got recognition in 2014 because of her tremendous performance in the drama serial Bashar Momin. Yes, Bashar’s Rudaba got married in real life and faced a huge backlash from the public because of her outfit. When Ushna Shah’s pictures with her husband went viral on social media, people started trolling her as an “Indian bride.” Many people say that she is ruining Pakistani culture, Islam, and modesty with her bold red dress on her special occasion. According to people’s remarks, everything from the outfit to the decor gives off the vibe of an Indian wedding. Though Ushna Shah’s fans try to cover up the whole melodrama to avoid spoiling the actress’s dream day. However, it did not go well.
Then Ushna Shah took to Instagram to shut the mouths of trolls. She says:
“To those who have a problem with my dress: you were not invited, nor did you pay for my shade of red.” My jewellery, my jora, is purely Pakistani. My heart, on the other hand, is half Austrian.Ameen, Allah humein khush rakhey.(May God bless us.)”
She also called out some uninvited photographers (the “paparazzi”) who leaked her wedding photos without her consent.
Things got out of hand when she pointed the whole plot at Ab Lakhani, a fashion blogger who works at FashionTime magazine. She accused him of bringing an unknown photographer who may have leaked her wedding photos. Along with that, she commented that she invited him out of courtesy as he was available in the office during the designing and finalising of her wedding card. He was present when the card was imprinted with the phrase “NO ONE PLUS,” but he chose to ignore it and bring a photographer. She also claims that when my family member interrogated the photographer, he replied that Ushna Shah approved it.
The melodrama continues when a well-known fashion magazine movieshoovy apologises to Ushna Shah for the mishap at her wedding. They also made the point that Ab Lakhani has quit working with them since August 2021, so they have nothing to do with him or the wedding scenario. It all goes on, and Ushan Shah’s fans blame Ab Lakhani for everything.
Well, to put an end to it, on February 28, 2023, Ushna Shah shared a written apology to Ab Lakhani on her Instagram story. She said that (a short summary):
“Ab Lakhani already apologised to me, and now it’s my turn.” I should not vent my anger on social media. I’ve reached my final conclusion despite the fact that there are many more uninvited photographers at the location. “AB WAS SIMPLY THE FINAL STRAW”
She requested her fans to end this matter and move on.

Everyone has the right to put forward his perception, but the comment should have some limit. We should not disgrace someone to the point that it starts haunting that person.
