We never hesitate to describe Pakistan’s negative points. But when it comes to our commitments towards it, we want to transfer them to others.
What is our common excuse?
It is not only my duty to serve the country, or an effort of single brings zero change in the country.
No, sometimes an initiative of a single person can bring wonders. It also motivates others to play their role in the country’s progression.
PROGRESS OF WESTERN COUNTRIES
The main reason for the advancement of western counties is their loyalty to their country. They know the worth of their independence and how to protect and benefit their country.
For them, what comes first is always their own country. People know how to give importance to their homeland’s culture, products, and people.
FOUNDATION OF PAKISTAN
Have we forgotten how our forefathers have made much effort to obtain this homeland?
Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah had worked diligently for this Pakistan; now, it is our duty to protect this country.
It sounds complicated, but a small effort for Pakistan can bring considerable change.
LIST OF EFFORTS FOR A POSITIVE CHANGE IN PAKISTAN
- WE SHOULD MAKE IT A CORRUPTION-FREE COUNTRY
Corruption is not only related to politicians. Every individual is promoting corruption at their level.
Let me explain with examples:
A drug inspector is responsible for monitoring drug storage conditions and the effectiveness of the drug formulations in the pharmacy. We can bribe them effortlessly to overlook or ignore the pharmacy’s problems and formulations.
Even a false attendance of the absent student by his friends also counts as corruption.
If we want to make our country corruption free, start with ourselves. Along with it, the government should take strict actions against those guilty of corruption.
- WE SHOULD KEEP IT CLEAN
Hygiene is even essential for us. The more litter we produce, it will ultimately affect us in the forms of different diseases.
The ridiculous thing is that we blame it all on the cleaning services departments instead of being ashamed of our actions.
Yes, I understand that there are some faults in our cleaning services but can we not help them by simply putting our waste in the dustbin.
We cannot control cleaning services, but we can improve ourselves and our actions.
- WE SHOULD SUPPORT OUR PEOPLE
It is a common practice that to gain success, we are ready to suppress others or adopt any illegal to get immediate success.
In developed countries, people know how to support small businesses. They encourage and respect their people.
You can take the example from The People’s Republic of China, where it is a tradition to use their native products. That is the main reason for their economic boost over the last few years.
But what is the familiar prospect regarding this in our country?
We reject the thing by seeing made in Pakistan tag on it. We should analyze the product on quality, not on its international production.
- WE SHOULD SERVE OUR OWN COUNTRY
It means after completing our graduation, instead of flying out of the country, try to work for your nation.
Our Pakistanis are creating wonder worldwide in different fields; why not perform this same hard work for the country’s progress?
I know it is also due to the lack of opportunities that people are forced to settle abroad. But one thing is for sure we lack opportunities, not talent.
Instead of all of this, our first option should always be Pakistan.
- WE SHOULD UPHOLD OUR MORAL VALUES
What makes an Islamic society unique from every society?
In my opinion, it is the moral value that Islam teaches us.
We should implement justice in our society. Yes, it is the duty of courts and judiciary committees, but on an individual level, it is our duty not to support any immoral or illegal activity.
Try to help others as much as you can. It all depends on our income or resources on how much we help others. Help is not only in terms of money; a kind word from you for one in a challenging situation or a first aid service to a patient in an emergency are all different kinds of help.
In the end, respect your parents, elders, teachers, and national heroes and always feel grateful for having them.
CONCLUSION
Lastly, I am not bragging about anything in this article; it is also a soft reminder for myself. It is a reminder of where we as a nation stand. What are our responsibilities toward Pakistan?
We as humans always commit mistakes, but life is about the second chance. We must grab this opportunity and try to improve ourselves.
