Have you ever pondered that we as a youth are stuck in the online virtual world far away from real life? There is a vast difference between real life and life on social media. Social means interaction with other people. It is necessary sometimes, but the other times its excess also provides harm.
Do you want to know how?
Just hook with me till the end, and you will get the answer.
EVERYTHING ON SOCIAL MEDIA CAN BE EDITED
On social media, we choose what we want to show to everyone. A smiling face on social media can’t depict life’s problems; what you see on social media platforms is just a hint of their happy life, not their whole life. Social media shows the edited version of other’s life.
Then what is the point of comparing yourself with these celebrities?
Just believe in one thing everyone has a different life. Only compare yourself with your yesterday version and try to improve every time.
STANDARDS OF LIFE
According to social media, you must be perfect for surviving in this world.
NO, in everyone’s life meaning of perfect is different. For someone, wealth defines their ideal life, but for others, a happy life with their loved ones, even with a low income, is perfect.
So, what I want to say is:
Set your standards in life. Don’t rely on criteria set by society or on social media.
Do what you want to do.
BE REALISTIC
If you’re an individual who enjoys socializing, then you can relate that different opinions can ruin your life. It’s not okay to post your whole life on social media. When you receive appreciation and good comments from everyone, you feel contented, but it’s not the same every time; sometimes, hateful comments can ruin your good day.
So that’s why I am saying be practical and only post a restricted part of your life. If you are posting your every moment of life, you are also giving authority to people on social media to comment on it.
Don’t let your social life affect your goals.
CONCLUSION
Hope you get the difference between real life and social life.
I will conclude it with a line that hard work is mandatory , you can’t achieve anything simply by scrolling through the profiles of a successful person. You need to take your first step and work diligently to reach your destination.
