On August 19, 2024, Karachi’s Karsaz Road witnessed the most horrifying road accident. Natasha Danish over-sped her Toyota Land Cruiser and lost control of her vehicle. The overspeeding crashed the vehicle into multiple cars and pedestrians.
Eyewitnesses claimed that Natasha was driving recklessly, causing the SUV to overturn and crush several motorcycles and cars. People assumed that she was under the influence of drugs or alcohol, i.e., her state of mind was not in normal condition.
But the incident does not stop there. Natasha’s Danish recklessness caused the death of the father-daughter duo. Imran Arif, aged 60, and his 26-year-old daughter, Amna Arif, lost their lives because of Natasha Danish.
But did she repent of it?
No, in various videos circulating on social media, we can see her expressions are calm like nothing happened. Like she didn’t kill the 2 persons and injured 4 other people.
Natasha Danish’s Background
Natasha Danish, wife of Danish Iqbal, the chairperson of Metro Power Group, a well-known business conglomerate. She has also had contact with the Gul Ahmad family, as she is their daughter-in-law. Now the question arises: will influential family background save her from the punishment?
Court Proceedings
Following the accident, Natasha was arrested on-site and later presented in court. The court placed her under a 14-day judicial remand, with the charges including Section 322 of the Pakistan Penal Code, which deals with murder without intent and can result in significant prison time or payment of blood money (diyat).
Later on, Natasha Lawyer claimed that she was not mentally stable and was going through psychiatric medication.
Now whose fault is there?
If she is mentally unstable, then who gave her permission to drive the car? Who allowed her to kill the innocent Amna Arif and her father? Amna Arif, a young MBA student, and working part-time to achieve her goals is now dead just because of someone impetuous driving. The dreams and aims of a young girl were smashed, and the excuse is that Natasha was not mentally well, which led to this accident. Does her father, Imran Arif who also died, are at fault? The one who worked dawn to dusk to give her family a happy and contented life.
